Princess or Super Hero Day

Funny there isn't an adorable picture of Ella in a sweet princess outfit, huh? That would be because she REFUSED. I even tried the cute tutu with the rose petals in it. Answer was still no. In fact it was a "No- I... don't... want... to!" I tried to get a picture of what she did wear (think turquoise, purple, pink and not in a matching way) but that was met with a "No no mommy, not nice!" So rest assured Ella has opinions these days and they are well respected. Even other kids in her class decked out in princess outfits didn't sway her (yes, I brought the outfits just in case)!

And the Winner is...

KEMPER! Steve, Ella and I made a quick trip up to Kensington to see Kemper wrestle in his tournament. He placed 3rd and as you can see received a cool trophy. It is so hard to watch him wrestle, but maybe a little bit of that is that it makes me realize how big he is. Kemper is an awesome wrestler and we are all so proud of him! Ella told Grandpa Stevie she wanted to wrestle and so Steve (thank goodness for grandfathers) wrestled with Ella on the side of the mat.

Ella absolutely loved hanging with her cousins and fell right in line with Selma and her friend Anna. They were both so great to play with Ella. We all had Sushi (Kemper's reqest) for dinner. Selma had her nails painted purple- Steve and Selma's favorite color- so I included that picture too! Wow- we sure packed a lot into six hours, huh?

Pajama Day

Need I say more? It was Pajama Day at school today and Ella chose her bunny jammies (Thank you Grandma!). She even wanted pigtails as you can see above.

Still (not) sleeping

Ella sleeping? Yes. Wes and Sara? No. What is it about kids being acrobatic during the night? So here is how Ella slept last night, at one moment in time. She started out parallel. I've also included a picture of Lexy and Schro and where they slept. Nice of Lexy to snuggle with Ella's babies, huh?

Best Friends Forever...

Sammi and her parents came over for dinner tonight and we all had such a great time. Ella was so sad when they left and asked about Sammi all weekend. Good thing she sees her at school. Sammi is almost a year older than Ella and such a great little girl.

Aren't they so cute! This video is of them running around and playing. it is a little fuzzy but I love hearing them giggle...

Fergie!

This is a picture of Ella sining "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie. Uh-huh, not "Old McDonald", "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", or any other children's songs. I have to say it is the cutest thing! Over Christmas Ella's cousins all made up dances and songs to "Fergilicious" and Ella fell right in line with them all. The other day Ella sang, "Fegilicious, definition, make the boys go loco". I love Selma for so many things, but especially for teaching her this song. In this picture she is belting out, "I hope you know, I hope you know...."

Chef Ella

It's always a good trick to get Ella occupied while I try to get dinner together. Today I was running out of ideas so when Ella pushed over a chair and wanted to help ("Ella do it") I figured everything in the kitchen was washable so we gave it a try. She is a great stirrer and kept almost everything in the mixing bowl. And the best part... Ella likes doing dishes!
